'Wonderful Woodlands' Tree Planting, Thursday 7th July 2022 (10am - 1pm)
Join Garnock Connections and our partners EADHA (Scottish Gaelic for 'Aspen') for a day of learning about trees, wildflowers and how they are essential to our river habitats - including the Garnock - in ways you never knew!
We will meet at 10am at the Miller's Coffee Room at Dalgarven Mill Museum for a short introduction from local conservationist and native tree expert, Peter Livingstone from EADHA. Refreshments will be served.
The plan is then to walk a short distance to a planting location at Groatholm for wildflower seed sowing and general maintenance.
A short drive (own transport essential) to Dalry will see us undertaking the planting of native saplings at Doggartland woods.
Peter will be on hand to tell us lots of interesting facts throughout the day.
