Bird Identification for Beginners

Learn to identify blue tits and great tits!

Have you ever wished you could identify the brilliant birds that are all around you? Well then this free beginners bird is just for you!

Join us on Saturday 25th May between 11am and 3pm at Dalgarven Mill Museum for a fun day of learning basic bird identification techniques, using sight and sound. An indoor learning session will be followed by a bird walk along the river Garnock where you can put your new skills to the test. this event will be led by our Natural Heritage Project Officer for Garnock Connections, David Anderson who has a great deal of experience and enthusiasm via the RSPB.

Attendees will also be given free access to explore Dalgarven Mill Museum, which holds one of Scotland's last working water wheels. There is also a famous costume collection dating from the 1700's.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for this event. Please bring your own lunch, or alternatively lunch can be purchased from the Miller's Coffee Room.
