Places That We Know: Virtual Reality Gathering
Online event, Tuesday 29th September, 1:00-1:45pm & 7:00-7:45pm
No one expected it, but this year we’ve all been challenged to find ways of doing things digitally. Digital tools have been keeping family, friends and colleagues connected this year, but it can also be used to connect with the stories of places on our doorstep.
That’s why Places That We Know, a community heritage project part of Garnock Connections, is asking people to share their ideas of how they could use virtual or augmented reality, uncovering and celebrating stories that have shaped the history and landscape of Irvine, Kilwinning, the Three Towns, Garnock Valley, Lochwinnoch and Muirshiel Hills.
This could reveal hidden details, bring myths to life or recreate things we can longer see. There is a lot that virtual technology could do, but we want to find out what people would like it to do.
Join our online only Ideas Gathering events at either 1:00pm or 7:00pm on Tuesday 29th September 2020, to share ideas and find out more from the Places That We Know team about the project and virtual reality.
