First community events a success
During the week of the 13th of March Garnock Connections ran their first community engagement events in conjunction with MVGLA and Northlight Heritage, who are undertaking a Landscape Character Survey for the Partnership. The events were held at Kilbirnie, Beith, Kilwinning, and Irvine.
At each event Northlight Heritage gave a short presentation on the fascinating insights that their research has uncovered about the landscape and heritage of the area around the River Garnock. Attendees were then invited to chat to the team about what they value most about living or working in the area and to share their views on opportunities for reconnecting people with their natural and cultural heritage.
A second round of events will be taking place on the 6th and 7th of April, full details will be released soon.
