Garnock Rocks
The last few months have certainly been tough. However, as we come to terms with our new normal, we are fortunate that access to our wonderful outdoor spaces is opening up once again. You may be looking to stretch your legs after months indoors, or perhaps you’ve discovered a new favourite route around your local area. With this in mind, we have created Garnock Rocks.
The process is simple: every week we will place a special rock somewhere within the Garnock Connections landscape, with the location being advertised on our heritage trails app, Places That We Know. To take part, simply download the app, follow the trail and see if you can find our GC-branded rock.
Of course, the thrill of the chase and visiting the landscape’s natural and cultural gems is in many ways its own reward. However, if you need a little more incentive, we’ll have some goodies to give away too. To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is take a picture of yourself in the rock's hiding place and post it to our Facebook or Twitter pages, along with the hashtag #GarnockRocks. One winner will be selected at random every week before we move the rock to a new location.
The first trail will be going live on Monday 7th September, so download the app and keep an eye on our social media channels. In the meantime, there are lots of trails already on the app, or you could even have a go at creating your own.
