Connecting people and places within the Landscape

A post to ponder

Reflecting on the first few months post delivery

After a few months to reflect on the end of the delivery stage of Garnock Connections, we have a short video to share that highlights some of the landscape features and outputs that were successfully delivered as part of the project.

Also as a reminder that the project is still very much active across the landscape and you can still get involved with many of the projects we created and delivered as part of Garnock Connections – you could try your hand at coastal rowing in one of the hand built skiffs, follow or create a trail on the Places That We Know app/website, borrow some recording equipment or a wheeler from the rangers at Eglinton Country Park, volunteer with many of the groups we engaged with throughout, record wildlife onto the iRecord activity while it will be easier to see lots and lots of interesting wildlife and plants in flower, follow our sculpture trail or take advantage of the new boardwalk to explore even more of the RSPB reserve at Lochwinnoch or the trails maintained by Path Stewards.

It’s also the perfect time to go out and simply enjoy and immerse yourselves in the wealth of heritage that you’re surrounded by in the area and look at how the changes implemented throughout the project look now that they’ve become more established and embedded in their surroundings.

We would like to take this opportunity once again to thank everyone from partners, volunteers, community groups, who helped make Garnock Connections the success it was over the 5 year delivery phase.
